Native to Asia, Acer cappadocicum or Cappadocian Maple is a medium sized tree growing to 30m tall. The foliage of this tree grows wide with a rounded shape. The leaves are lobed. They’re a shiny green, turning to a golden yellow colour in the autumn. It also has small yellow flowers. This is an attractive tree and has been given an Award of Garden Merit by the Royal Horticultural Society. It will benefit from light pruning and will grow best in well-drained soil. It will grow well in full sun or partial shade but not full shade. It can take up to 50 years to reach its full growth potential. A fairly large but low maintenance tree.
